SMC cable brackets are polymer composite materials made up of resin, glass fibers, and fillers, which are characterized by corrosion resistance, light weight, strong electrical insulation, excellent fire resistance, and long service life. In life, cable brackets are also commonly referred to as FRP cable brackets or composite cable brackets.
I. Installation procedures of SMC cable braket
1. Installation of columns
According to the installation plans and the location of the column mounting holes, the column is fixed to the wall with M12 nuts, and shims must be fitted between the bolts and the column. Slotted columns should be as close to the wall as possible.
2. Mounting of the brackets
Fix the arm to the column with the appropriate bolt tension. A spacer must be fitted between the bolt and the column.
3. Cables
Drag the cable to the SMC cable bracket mounting position.
4. Cable positioning and fixing
The outer diameter of the cable is padded with a rubber ring, placed on a stand, and tied off. Cables that need to be rigidly fixed are connected with stainless steel expansion screws.
II. Notes for installation procedures of SMC cable braket
1. After installation, the bracket is not allowed to tilt down and should be raised 0-5 degrees. If there is a construction error, only shim adjustment is allowed at the lowermost anchor bolt.
2. During installation, laying, and maintenance, it is prohibited to stand on the bracket or use it as support other than a cable.
3. When laying cables, do not allow them to fall from a height and try to place them lightly on the SMC cable bracket.
4. During laying and maintenance, effective measures should be taken to avoid lateral forces on the support products.
5. When the cable needs to be adjusted at a local distance, the cable should be moved to the root of the bracket and dragged as far as possible, or the cable to be adjusted between the SMC cable brackets should be held up and forced slowly to avoid overloading the construction.
