The main products of SMC molds are seats, water tanks, meter boxes, satellite transmitting and receiving dish antennas, sheet resins for auto parts, interior parts of train passenger compartments, etc. BMC's main products are electrical products: switches, high-voltage insulation parts, instrument boxes, plastic-encapsulated motors, car headlight reflectors, etc. The products have been matched by well-known enterprises in the United States, Japan, Germany, France and other countries. In recent years, SMC molds have successfully developed low temperature curing rapid prototyping technology and high flame retardant A-level surface technology, which are used in automotive parts and interior parts of train passenger cars.
Ⅰ. The application of SMC mold in the bathroom industry
SMC molds in the bathroom industry are often called SMC bathroom molds, and this material has unique properties. It can suppress and solve the shortcomings of wooden, steel and plastic meter boxes that are easy to age, easy to corrode, have poor insulation, poor cold resistance, poor flame retardancy and short life. SMC composite materials and their SMC molded products have excellent electrical insulation properties, mechanical properties, thermal stability, and chemical corrosion resistance. The SMC bathroom mold is equipped with the SMC ceiling and chassis molded by a CNC press at one time, with high density and high strength; through the embedded seamless assembly with the VCM wall, the bathroom chassis is watertight, without any traditional waterproofing works.
Ⅱ. The design and production requirements of SMC mold
1. Accurate size, smooth surface; reasonable structure, high production efficiency, easy to automate.
2. Easy to manufacture, long life and low cost; the design meets the needs of the process and is economical and reasonable.
3. SMC mold structure design and parameter selection must consider factors such as rigidity, orientation, unloading mechanism, positioning method, and gap size.
4. The wearing parts on the SMC mold should be easy to replace. For plastic molds and die-casting molds, it is also necessary to consider a reasonable gating system, the flow state of the molten plastic or metal, and the location and direction of entry into the cavity.
5. The stamping die should use a multi-position progressive die, and a carbide insert progressive die can be used to improve the service life.
Ⅲ. Surface treatment of oil heater mold of SMC mold
In the work, in addition to the reasonable matching of the mold matrix with sufficiently high strength and toughness, its surface properties are very important to the working performance and service life of the mold. These surface properties roughly include: wear resistance, corrosion resistance, friction coefficient, fatigue properties, etc. Most of the performance improvement, relying solely on the improvement and improvement of the matrix material is very limited and uneconomical, and through surface treatment technology, it is often possible to get twice the result with half the effort.
Surface treatment technology is a systematic engineering that changes the morphology, chemical composition, organizational structure and stress state of the mold surface to obtain the desired surface properties through surface coating, surface modification or composite treatment technology. From the surface treatment method, it can be divided into: chemical method, physical method, physical chemical method and mechanical method. Although new processing technologies aimed at improving the surface properties of molds are constantly emerging, nitriding, carburizing and hard film deposition are the most widely used in SMC mold manufacturing.
